Designed to operate efficiently even in extreme heat, DJI Dock 3 continues working and charging in temperatures up to 50°C (122°F).
Reliable performance in freezing environments. With preheating, operation remains stable in conditions down to –30°C (–22°F).
Matrice 4D and 4TD maintain strong flight stability in winds up to 12 m/s, enabling controlled takeoff, landing, and flight for up to 32 minutes.
A reinforced design protects internal components from harsh weather and environmental exposure, ensuring continuous and reliable operation.
Equipped with low-noise, anti-ice propellers, the Matrice 4D and 4TD can fly steadily even in freezing rain, while maintaining quieter operation.
DJI Dock 3 offers versatile deployment options, adapting easily to different operational scenarios. For fixed setups, signal performance can be improved by installing the latest D-RTK 3 Relay at elevated positions. With the new DJI Enterprise app, setup can even be completed directly from a smartphone. Additionally, Dock 3 now supports vehicle-mounted deployment for the first time, enabling faster dispatch during urgent missions and extended-range inspections.
The new D-RTK 3 Relay (Fixed Deployment Version) delivers strong anti-interference performance for both video transmission and satellite positioning. When installed at elevated locations, it helps overcome signal obstructions and extends the maximum transmission range to 25 km. This provides greater flexibility in choosing optimal installation sites for DJI Dock 3 based on operational requirements.
Installing the D-RTK 3 Relay on rooftops can greatly improve signal performance, enabling Dock 3 to be deployed effectively near high-rise buildings or along substation walls.
Installing the D-RTK 3 Relay close to communication towers improves signal stability, allowing Dock 3 to operate safely despite potential electromagnetic interference.
DJI Dock 3 is the first DJI Dock designed to support mobile, vehicle-mounted deployment. Optimized specifically for this use case, the Dock’s structure, internal components, and air-conditioning system have all undergone vehicle vibration testing. It also introduces new capabilities such as horizontal calibration and cloud-based dock location calibration.
For emergency response or long-distance inspections, pairing Dock 3 with the DJI Vehicle-Mounted Gimbal Mount offers a practical and efficient solution when fixed deployment is impractical or temporary.
When fully charged, the Matrice 4D/4TD delivers an impressive 47-minute flight time at 15 m/s—an outstanding 37% increase in operational duration. At a 10 km radius, the drones can sustain up to 18 minutes of flight.
Both models are built for demanding environments, equipped with an IP55 dust and water resistance rating for reliable performance in harsh conditions.
The Matrice 4D/4TD’s Obstacle Sensing Module integrates rotating LiDAR and millimeter-wave radar to detect obstacles as thin as 12 mm at speeds up to 15 m/s. This ensures safe, precise navigation during power line inspections and improves positioning in low-light or complex substation environments.
The Matrice 4D Series supports an onboard relay mode using the DJI RC Plus 2 Enterprise controller, enabling one drone to extend the operational range of another. This allows stable video transmission even without 4G coverage, making it ideal for long-distance missions and SAR operations in mountainous or obstructed areas.
